About: Randy's Primal® Rat Control Solution
Science shows that "the more rat poison used in an area, the more rats you will have."
35 years of curiosity and field experience has led us to this conclusion. About 10 years ago the rat numbers exploded in Portland, Oregon, and across the country. It took me several years to come to the conclusions I am about to share with you.
First and foremost, I noticed a corresponding decline in our incoming calls to control other urban wildlife. In other words, whatever was causing a rapid increase in rats was also causing a huge decline in rat predators. In that time, the data showed that the introduction and wide spread use of 2nd generation anticoagulant rodenticides was the root cause of the rat population increase and the decline of the owls, other raptors, raccoons, skunks, coyotes, opposums. In other words, any hunting or scavenging animal that would catch a dying or dead rat was mostly wiped out in many areas. These poisons accumulated in the rats eating them, and these were passed directly on to any other animal that consumed a poisoned rat.
Rat math is simple. One male and one female rat can, if left undisturbed, result in the birth of 15,000 offspring in one year.
The predators that used to be the main vector for rat control can not match that reproductive capability. A family of barn owls can eat 1000 rats in a year, but can only produce 2 or 3 offspring a year. If you carry this reproductive comparison across all rat predators, the result is obvious. Rats simply out breed their enemies because of our use of poisons. With that perspective in mind, we (at Randy's Primal Rat Lure) are on a mission to educate the public about the environmental destruction caused by 2nd- Generation* rat poisons.
And to that end, we have developed new , patented, innovative ways to dramatically reduce rat populations without harming the environment.
